Activity Options - Things To Do

There are things to do during the day and night! There are a variety of outdoor activities and tours. Ask about our bike trails too!

Christ of the Ozarks Statue

This was the first project built on the grounds. The Christ of the Ozarks Statue was completed in 1966. It stands almost 70 feet tall and has an arm span of 65 feet, from fingertip to fingertip. It weighs almost 1 million pounds, including a 12 feet deep concrete and steel foundation.

The New Holy Land Tour

Step way back in history to biblical times. Meet costumed characters that will share biblical truths and parables in relation to their specific display or event. Meet Simon Peter on the shores of the Sea of Galilee, see the stable and the tomb and Golgotha. Scenic, historic, inspiring!

The Sacred Arts Center

Enjoy over 1,000 pieces of art in 64 different forms. See masterpiece quality oil paintings, carvings, tapestries, mosaics, watercolors and bronze statues.  You will certainly enjoy the Jack Dawson collection also.

The Bible Museum

You will see almost 10,000 different rare books, bibles, manuscripts and artifacts. Including a first edition, first printing copy of the 1611 King James Bible, as well as a the only Bible signed by all of the original Gideon's in 1898. You will also see one of the original Cherokee Bibles and a page from a Gutenberg Bible, and more.

Parables of the Potter

This is one of 2 pre-play performances you can enjoy for no charge. See an actual potter creating pieces of pottery that you can actually purchase in the gift shop. Listen as he shares Biblical parables and stories as he spins and creates unique pieces of potter, and be reminded that God is the Potter and we are the clay!

David the Shepherd

This, also, is one of the 2 pre-play performances you can enjoy for no charge.  Hear the shepherd explain how David overcame Goliath with just a sling and a smooth stone! You will also see a demonstration of stones (and marshmallows) being thrown by the shepherd. You can also purchase one of his personally made slings! This demonstration will remind you that No problem is too BIG for God!

Backstage and Onstage Tour

$10.00 Adults, $8.00 Kids

Though this tour is best for those who are in good physical health and condition, due to the amount of steps and inclines that is required, the tour is very insightful and fun. See costumes, makeup demonstrations, special effect methods and get close up views of the crucifixion scene, the tomb and the ascension location. You will love this tour!

The Berlin Wall Section

This 10 foot by 10 foot section of the actual Berlin Wall was purchased in 1991 for $1,000.00 and was shipped from Berlin to the port of Houston, Texas, where is was loaded onto a J.B. Hunt Trucking Co. truck, and hauled to the current location. The dedication speech was given by Efrem Zimbalist, Jr. and the dedication song was sung by Anita Bryant.
